Environmental Issues

On our first step to achieving ISO 14001 certification we have gained accreditation to Phase 3 of British Standard 8555 through the Acorn Scheme.

We understand the importance placed by print buyers on standards set in the ISO 14001 certification as well as the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) chain of custody. This is why the management systems we have in place adhere to these recognised standards.

Using the ISO 14001 certification standards as a guideline, our environmental policy aims to implement, maintain and improve a sustainable environmental management system. Our commitment to the standards set in the ISO 14001 certificate also ensures our compliance with environmental laws and regulations.

Environmental Policy

The Prime Print Group is based in North Nottinghamshire and currently employs 22 people. We offer a full fulfillment service from literature printing, stationery storage, lamination, binding, packaging and postage of paper based products.

At the Prime Print Group Ltd, our senior management initiates and gives full support to our environmental policy. As a responsible company we intend to grow and develop in a sustainable manner. However, we recognise that our operations have an impact on the environment and we are committed to reducing this.

We are committed to continually improve our environmental performance and we are developing an environmental management system (EMS) to achieve this in a structured way. The company will provide the human and financial resources required to implement the EMS.

We are developing environmental performance indicators to help us to assess our current and future level of environmental performance. This will also enable us to benchmark our performance against similar companies and industry standards.

It is our policy to:

Integrate environmental management into our day-to-day business operations to ensure environmental issues are addressed, whilst providing a quality product to all our customers.
Comply with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and requirements.
Reduce our use of natural resources such as energy and water.
Reuse resources whenever possible rather than dispose of them.
Encourage the use of recycled and environmentally responsible materials and where possible use FSC grade papers.
Give advice and offer environmentally friendly printing options to all our customers.
Provide appropriate environmental training for all our people and encourage them to support this programme.
Ensure all of our suppliers have a clear environmental policy.
Only use couriers who have a commitment to cutting carbon emissions for our domestic and international deliveries.
